It's 1965 and John Baker sorts out the audio connections in Room 12. The jackfield incorporates 'normalling' which means, in theory, that only a few connecting cords are needed. However, this normalling isn’t entirely reliable or ideally configured, so more and more cords are added until a tangle ensues. The small boxes are BBC Type B valve amplifiers.
